About Me and the Blog
Hi, my name is Kieron Foo, a final year chemical engineering student studying in Singapore Polytechnic. I am currently on my first semester doing an internship programme with a biotechnology start-up firm called mirxes. A little background, mirxes specialises in research and producing in-vitro cancer-diagnostic test kits. Being minimally invasive and convenient towards users, all it requires is a blood test to identify possible cancer probability, lifestyle changes, among others. The purpose of this blog is to document my journey in this internship and help me easily access the information I need. It also serves as a learning journal for me to reference to as I grow. For this project, I am tasked to work on getting representative benchmarking data to serve for upscaling in the production processes.
